If your chorus is anything like mine, your fellow singers are probably like family. Making music together is obviously a key part of what you do, but many choristers (myself included) love being able to connect outside of rehearsals. That could mean grabbing a drink together, seeing each others' cabarets, or connecting professionally.
Most choruses have some sort of outlet for making announcements about such things. The most common I've heard of are Facebook groups and Google (or Yahoo) groups.
